Add to wishlist

Tumba craft is contemporary expression of traditional technique of container making from dried bottle gourds! Tumba means Bottle Gourd (Lauki in hindi and Dudhi in Marathi). While the intricate design may catch the attention of the onlooker during the day, the shadows rule the night as the well-lit Tumba comes to life!

This lamp cover is decorated with bastar tribal men dressed up in traditional attire with horn head gear and dholak (drum) and women with a bamboo stick with Ghungaroos (small metal bells) in the rhythmic dance movement.

Opening: 18 cm (diameter)
Height: 32 cm (with stem)

These lamp covers can be hung down from the ceiling or kept on the table top. With a light source lit from top, enjoy the soft light percolated through the little holes on the lamp cover.

Light it up with a bulb on a vertical flange or a modest torch to enjoy the beauty of shadow figures and the grandeur of play of light on the wall and the ceiling.

Hang it in cool and dry place.
