This is a beautiful Gondana (tattoo) style of Madhubani painting. In this painting, a pair of peacocks is at the centre, surrounded by intricate motifs of butterflies, birds, elephants, deers, and dolls. Outlines in the painting are done directly using a brush (There are no pencil sketches; no geometry tools like rounder or scale are used). It originates from the Mithilanchal region of Bihar, India, also known as Mithila paintings.
