This is a beautiful Bharni (Fill in colours) style of Madhubani painting. This painting depicts a famous story from Krishna Leela, Krishna stealing the clothes of Gopis. Outlines in the painting are done directly using a brush (There are no pencil sketches; no geometry tools like rounder or scale are used) and the textures in a Kachni Painting are done with a nib dipped in acrylic colours. It originates from the Mithilanchal region of Bihar, India, also known as Mithila paintings.
