Tikuli Handpainted coaster set from the hinterland of India, Bihar. Tikuli is a traditional craft from Patna, Bihar and known for its intricate designs inspired from Madhubani paintings and bright colours.
Enamel paint is used to make the base material (MDF wood) heat proof and water proof.

This set consists of 6 coasters and a holder.

Tikuli art form draws inspiration from Madhubani art and it commonly depicts everyday chores of household women, auspicious occasions such as wedding ceremonies, and scenes from Brindavan
Women artisans from marginal incomes have found their place in the society through the financial independence and This craft gives economical support to about 600-800 artisans' families on a regular basis in Digha, Danapur, and Gai Ghat mahallas of Patna town of Bihar.
