This beautiful painting is a classic example of the Gondana style of Madhubani painting with intricate tatoo motifs of deer, butterflies, dolls etc. It originates from the Mithilanchal region of Bihar, India. A sketch is made freehand using a brush. A nib dipped in acrylic colour is used to draw fine lines (textures in a shape). It takes a skilled artist to make a flawless painting which catches one’s imagination with wide variety of fill in textures.

Madhubani paintings also known as Mithila paintings is the famous folk art from Mithilanchal Region of Bihar, India.
