This beautiful Madhubani painting is combination of Kachani (Linework) and Bharani (Fill in colours). It originates from the Mithilanchal region of Bihar, India. Outlines of a painting are done directly with a brush and then the colours are filled in. A nib dipped in acrylic colours is used to draw intricate lines/ various other textures inside of a shape.
